This is a village setting rather than Sa Pa’s compact town centre, with mountain and garden views among the surroundings.

Sa Pa Bus Station is 5.5 km away, and sleeper buses from Hanoi arrive there before travellers continue into the valley. A taxi or motorbike taxi can cover the road from Sa Pa to Lao Chai; allow for a separate final leg beyond the bus station. Mường Hoa mountain train station is 4.1 km away. Free public parking is available nearby without a reservation, and the homestay asks you to give your expected arrival time in advance. Check-in is from 13:00 to 14:00.

Local walks lead towards Tả Van and Hâu Thào village, with the Suspension Bridge and Waterfall Quy Khach each 2.5 km away. The Carved Boulder Museum is 1.5 km away, and Muong Hoa Valley viewpoint is 1.3 km away. The rice terraces are green from June to August and turn golden at harvest in September and early October; June to August is also the wettest period. December to February can be cold and foggy, while March to May and September to November are generally more settled. For a town excursion, Sa Pa Lake and Sa Pa Stone Church are in the centre, and the Fansipan cable car departs from Sun World station.
